Leyla is the new Turkish-Mediterranean brasserie that combines key elements of Turkish rustic-haute cuisine with a worldly take on classic mediterranean recipes. Set in the ground floor of a historic maisonette on New York’s upper west side, the space is at once warm and inviting with four distinct zones to enjoy the delicious food including a Bar, Banquette, Lounge, and Dining Room. Each space linked together with a palette of rich walnut, brass, and classic Turkish textiles hand-selected by the owner in Ankara, Turkey. Leyla - the name from the famed love poem of Leyla and Mejnun (a kind of Romeo and Juliette story) finds shape in a circular logo framed with stars, the name itself written in a romantic script.
