Matt Murphy was first recognized for his luxury Handbags and Leathergoods. Evolving out of Murphy’s thesis of portable architecture, his debut collection of Handbags and Leathergoods and sold to Maxfield, Fred Segal, and other luxury retailers in the US, Europe and Japan. The collection featured hand-cast sterling silver hardware and fine Italian leather; combining luxury, utility and a distinctive style.
